Discharge of check payable to “drawer or drawee”
In the case of a check payable to “drawee” irrespective of any endorsement on the back of the cheque, upon proper payment to the drawee and in the case of a check payable to “drawee” the check is payable or it is endorsed. The drawee will be released from his liability after the due payment has been made to the drawee.
